Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit SanatanBodh (sanatanbodh.in) and how it is used. The site is run by Aucio Infotech.
What we do not collect
You do not need to create an account or give your name, phone number or address to read the site.
In your browser
The city you choose for the panchang and muhurat is saved in your own browser (localStorage), so that the same city is shown next time. It does not reach us.
Your city and your location
On your first visit the site guesses your city from your internet connection (IP address): our hosting service, Vercel, gives an approximate place with each request, and the nearest city is picked. That place is not stored or passed on; only the name of the chosen city stays in your browser.
Only when you press “Use my location” does your browser ask whether the site may see your phone's location. The nearest city is worked out on your phone; your location is not sent to us.
Analytics
To improve the site, we may use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect information about which pages were read, on which device, and from roughly which region. Words typed into the site's search, installing the app and the choice of city described above are counted too. This does not identify you personally.
Advertising and cookies
The site's costs are covered by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or to other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads based on these visits.
The ads on the site are currently served through Adsterra (banner ads; no pop-ups, notifications or adult ads). Adsterra and its advertisers may also use cookies to serve and count ads; see Adsterra's privacy policy.
You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. Readers in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked separately for their consent to cookies.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can request to know, correct or delete the information held about you. You can delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.
