There is no griha pravesh muhurat in October 2026, because this month falls in the amanta months Bhadrapada and Ashwin, and only Magh, Phalgun, Vaishakh, Jyeshtha, Kartik and Margashirsha are taken for griha pravesh. Kartik begins after the new moon of 9 November. The nearest muhurats: after it, in November 2026 (the first on 11 November). The days are chosen by nakshatra, tithi, weekday and month; the lagna of entry and the family’s custom are not part of this list, so check with your purohit before fixing a date.

How these days were chosen
Each day, from sunrise to the next sunrise, was checked minute by minute for nakshatra, tithi, weekday and lunar month (amanta) by the rules for griha pravesh, and for Venus and Jupiter not being combust; only a stretch of at least 5 minutes counts. The rules were matched against Drik Panchang’s list and its day-by-day notes. The full rules: Griha Pravesh muhurat 2026-27
We publish only the days on which our calculation and Drik Panchang’s list agree within 5 minutes at both ends.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no muhurat for griha pravesh in October 2026?
There is no griha pravesh muhurat in October 2026, because this month falls in the amanta months Bhadrapada and Ashwin, and only Magh, Phalgun, Vaishakh, Jyeshtha, Kartik and Margashirsha are taken for griha pravesh. Is there a griha pravesh muhurat on Dhanteras or Diwali 2026?
Not on this list. Dhanteras (6 November) and Diwali (8 November) 2026 fall in Kartik Krishna paksha by the purnimanta months of North India, but this list, like Drik Panchang’s, takes the month by the amanta reckoning, in which these days are in Ashwin; only Magh, Phalgun, Vaishakh, Jyeshtha, Kartik and Margashirsha are taken for griha pravesh. Drik Panchang’s list has no day from 6 to 10 November either. Amanta Kartik begins after the new moon of 9 November, and the first muhurat is on Wednesday, 11 November (Bhai Dooj), 6:40 AM–11:39 AM. Ask your purohit about your family’s custom.
When are the muhurats for griha pravesh in November 2026?
November 2026 has 6 auspicious days (New Delhi): Wednesday, 11 November: 6:40 AM–11:39 AM; Saturday, 14 November: 8:25 PM–11:25 PM; Friday, 20 November: 6:57 AM to 6:33 AM on 21 November; Saturday, 21 November: in the night, 4:58–5:56 AM on 22 November; Wednesday, 25 November: the whole day (6:51 AM to 6:52 AM on 26 November); Thursday, 26 November: 6:52 AM–5:48 PM.
Does this list include the lagna and the time of the vastu puja?
No. This is a general list based on panchang shuddhi alone (nakshatra, tithi, weekday, month, Venus and Jupiter combust). Drik Panchang too advises asking a learned person before choosing a day from these dates. Fix the lagna of entry, the time of the vastu shanti puja and the family’s custom with your purohit.
