Hindu months in August 2027
- Purnimanta (North India)
- Shravan (1–17 August) and Bhadrapada (18–31 August)
- Amanta (Maharashtra, Gujarat, the South)
- Ashadha (1–2 August) and Shravan (3–31 August)
In the purnimanta reckoning the month changes the day after Purnima, in the amanta reckoning the day after Amavasya. So a Krishna-paksha festival or vrat falls one month earlier in amanta, e.g. Kajari Teej: Bhadrapada Krishna Tritiya (Amanta: Shravana). In Shukla paksha both name the same month.
