The story

The story of Shobhana and Chandrabhaga

As the story is told in tradition, Shobhana, husband of King Muchukunda’s daughter Chandrabhaga, kept this fast though he was weak, and died at sunrise the next morning. By its merit he was given a fine city on Mount Mandarachala, which was later made lasting by the merit of Chandrabhaga’s own fasts.
