This text was checked against Randhir Prakashan, Haridwar’s printed ‘51 Chalisa Sangrah’. The Drik Panchang and Bhakti Bharat texts are almost letter for letter the same, so they are counted as one family of sources; where they differ from the printed book, the printed reading is taken, except for plain misprints. Variants: in chaupai 12 the websites read ‘chaar padarath jan so pavai’; in chaupai 25 the websites lack the word ‘Hamsa’ (‘katimanh, rahat man mudbhar’), while the printed book has ‘kati manh Hans’, which completes the line; in chaupai 30 the websites read ‘dadru’ (ringworm) for ‘daridra’ (poverty); in chaupai 36 the websites have ‘son’ for ‘so’; in chaupai 37 the printed book has ‘madh’, which looks like a misprint for ‘Madhu’ (a name of the month Chaitra), so ‘Madhu’ is taken. The printed book numbers the names in chaupais 9 and 10 from 1 to 12 and sets them in three lines. Some words in chaupais 16 and 24 are unclear in every source.
