अथ चेत्त्वमिमं धर्म्यं सङ्ग्रामं न करिष्यसि ।

But if you do not fight this righteous battle, then, having abandoned your duty and your honour, you will incur sin.
और यदि तू यह धर्मयुक्त युद्ध नहीं करेगा, तो अपने धर्म और कीर्ति दोनों को खोकर पाप का भागी होगा।
Explanation
Arjuna had thought that fighting would bring sin upon him (1.36). Shri Krishna tells him the opposite: abandoning one’s duty is itself the sin. Calling flight by the name of compassion does not turn it into dharma.
