अकीर्तिं चापि भूतानि कथयिष्यन्ति तेऽव्ययाम् ।
सम्भावितस्य चाकीर्तिर्मरणादतिरिच्यते ॥ ३४ ॥

Explanation

Now Shri Krishna explains from the standpoint of the world’s opinion. Arjuna is famous for his valour; if he withdraws from battle, he will come to be known as a cowardly warrior, which would be more painful for him than death.
