Arjuna said: What are the marks of one whose wisdom is steady, who is established in contemplation, Keshava? How does such a person speak, how sit, how walk?
अर्जुन बोले: हे केशव, समाधि में स्थित स्थिर बुद्धि वाले व्यक्ति के क्या लक्षण हैं? वह कैसे बोलता है, कैसे बैठता है और कैसे चलता है?
Explanation
From here begins the last, and very famous, part of the chapter: the marks of the sthitaprajna (one of steady wisdom), in 2.55–2.72. Arjuna’s question is practical: how does a wise person appear in daily life? Mahatma Gandhi made these verses part of his daily prayer.
