Translation

ENGLISH

Beings are unmanifest in their beginning, manifest in their middle, and unmanifest again in their end, O Bharata. What is there to lament in this?

Explanation

Where we were before birth cannot be seen; where we will go after death cannot be seen either. Only the life in between is visible. It is not right to lament when that which existed before it came into view, and will remain afterwards, passes out of sight.
