But the self-controlled person, moving among sense objects with senses free from attachment and aversion and under his own control, attains serenity.
पर जिसका मन वश में है, वह राग-द्वेष से मुक्त और अपने वश में की हुई इंद्रियों से विषयों का व्यवहार करते हुए भी मन की प्रसन्नता (निर्मलता) को प्राप्त होता है।
Explanation
The Gita does not ask one to leave the world. The sthitaprajna also sees, hears, eats and works; the difference is that their senses are guided not by attachment and aversion but by discernment. The fruit of this is "prasada", a calm and clear state of mind.
