Translation

ENGLISH

Contacts of the senses with their objects, son of Kunti, bring cold and heat, pleasure and pain. They come and go and do not last; endure them, O Bharata.

Explanation

Pleasure and pain do not last; they come and go like the seasons. Shri Krishna teaches "titiksha", that is, forbearance: to be shaken by what is bound to pass is futile.
